TESTIMONIALS
"My first session was pre-lockdown and I was a little anxious beforehand. I wanted to meet new people as I am relatively new to the local area. What I enjoy now is that it is a consistent social activity and all the guys who turn up are spot on. It's also a good opportunity to talk about mental health if I ever needed to speak out." - Oliver Ryan
"My first session was back in March time just before the lockdown period. I had seen a post advertising Kick Start FC on Facebook and thought I would give it a try. I have always enjoyed playing football and the guys who turn up are a good laugh I have enjoyed coming to the sessions. It’s also a great way to speak out if you have anything on your mind. I would totally recommend it." - Rob Yates

How do I talk about my mental health?
Putting your feelings into words is sometimes difficult. It’s perfectly normal to be worried that you might say the wrong thing or explain it badly. It’s also natural to feel anxious that your loved one or friend might think your mental health is worse than you might feel it is.
Try not to worry – talking about your mental health is incredibly important when it comes to getting the right support for you and with the right preparation the conversation can be easier than you think it might be. Here are a few tips on how to talk about your mental health.

HOME TACKLING THE MIND

SEEK TO PROTECT PARTNERSHIP
Wednesday 29th January 2025
We are excited to announce a brand new partnership with local insurance protection company Seek To Protect LTD. Based in Ludgershall, Seek To Protect LTD provide reliable insurance solutions that offer peace of mind for the future. With over a decade of industry experience, Seek To Protect LTD's mission is simple: to protect what matters most.
With a shared passion of mental health awareness, Seek To Protect LTD reached out to us with the offer of helping us bolster our resources and to contribute to our mission of raising awareness of mental health in the local community.

" After opening Seek To Protect LTD and setting up our offices here in Ludgershall, I have been on the look out for the right charity to partner with. The decision to partner with Kick Start FC was such an easy one because of the incredible work they do in the local community.
We are a company that cares about the community and we share the same drive in helping others. I'm really excited to help this charity achieve their goals for the upcoming year and I can't wait to see the amazing work we do together" - Lewis Turnbull (Director of Seek To Protect Ltd)
Collaboration between Seek To Protect LTD and Kick Start FC has already begun with the company donating food to our Community Team as they look to distribute half-term food packages to families in the local area that are experiencing financial difficulties and are on low-income and universal credit.
" We are extremely appreciative of Lewis, Hannah, and the team at Seek To Protect LTD for reaching out to us and inviting us into their office to learn more about our charity and what our vision for the future looks like. To know that this company also boasts a passion for mental health awareness and can see that we are doing some amazing things to support people in our local community, is very welcoming.
Thanks to the kindness shown by Seek To Protect LTD and their generous delivery of food to help cover breakfast and lunches for families during the upcoming half-term, we are well on our way to support at least 30 families in our local community" - Michael Cunningham (Kick Start FC Trustee)
